In Science this week, we discovered that bats are actually flying mammals! We then followed some instructions to carefully make a model of a bat using the technique of chromatography. We used felt tip pen ink and filter paper to make our bats wings. We sprayed the ink and watched the colours split and spread. We painted wooden pegs with black paint to create the body. When they were dry we used some googly eyes, pipe cleaners and paint pens to finish them off. We really enjoyed the process from start to finish. Look at how we made our brilliant bats!
