Brave New World

We have nearly completed the first week of school being closed. We hope you are all safe and well. PLEASE take heed of all the Government advice about social distancing. Stay at home – don’t take the children out unless there is absolutely no other option.

We have put suggestions and ideas on the website for work at home and we have heard lots of interesting ideas about how many of you have chosen to organise this.

Big well done if you’re doing the ‘Joe Wicks’ workout each day. The staff who’ve done it are telling me that it’s really making their legs ache and getting them breathing hard – so it’s got to be good for you!

Staff are really keen for children to read every day and use TT Rockstars. Purple Mash has lots of activities to complete. There are also ideas for projects to keep children going and the summer learning logs are also available for Years 1 to 6.

There are lots of new things popping up every day to give parents and children new options.

David Walliams is releasing a FREE audio story every day for the next 30 days

The Express and Star had an article on ten top tips for learning at home :

Let this be the time they learn to cook, garden, sew, play board games, do jigsaws…and read for pleasure!

Please continue to stay in and to stay safe.
